Project Accountant

Job Description

This position is responsible for the full life cycle of the Project, such as; project budget, contracts, change orders, billing, accounts payable, closeout, monitoring the progress of the projects, investigating variances, responding to subcontractor inquiries, verifying chargeable cost, and ensuring that project billings are issued to Customers and payments collected; in accordance with the contract standards and billing policy.

Requirements:

? Bachelor's Degree or some college courses in accounting or business preferred.
? Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience Microsoft Suite, and accounting software.
? 3 to 5+ years of billing and receivables, with at least 2 to 3 years in General Contractor or Subcontractor environment.
? Knowledge of ComputerEase, ProCore, Sage, or other accounting platform, a plus.
? A thorough knowledge of standard contract terms, including time and material, lumps sum, not-to-exceed and how they are applied in the billing process.
? Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
? Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
? Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
? Employ problem-solving skills and analysis and report issues to the Controller.
? Knowledge of the project structure in a General Contractor/Subcontractor business environment.

Must ave AIA Billing experience and knowledge of working with G703 forms/process.
